Outdoor swimming pools in Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas

Swimming is a great way to cool off during the summer months. I’ve rounded up the top local outdoor swimming pools for those last few weeks of pregnancy and keeping the children entertained in the holidays.

Portishead outdoor pool

Located near the lake grounds in Portishead this is the perfect place for a summer day out. The toddler pool is heated with green energy perfect for the little ones. There is limited shade so be sure to pack the sun cream and hat.

Lido

The lido in Clifton is the perfect place to relax and cool off in the final weeks of pregnancy. A non member adult afternoon day pass can be purchased Monday-Friday 1-4pm for just £20 you can enjoy access to the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.

Greenbank pool

Located in Street this is a great place to spend a hot day. There is a spacious law to enjoy a family picnic. Complete the day with a spot of shopping, well it would be rude not too.

Brean Splash Waterpark

Brean splash park offers both indoor and outdoor swimming. The outdoor area opened on 27th may for this season and looks great. I will definitely be planning a trip with my own children. The outdoor splash area features

• Seaside Water Play Area for under 12’s. This consists of a 3 x waterslide play structure within a shallow pool.
• Three super Waterslides including the River Ride, Serpentine Slide & Turbo Drop slides.
• Sun Bathing Area

Lymington Seawater, Bath

This is a place I have recently discovered through friends and looks perfect for the whole family as there is something for everyone. It features

• 120 metres of inflatable obstacle courses
• Water zorbs
• Stand up paddle boards
• Kayaks
• Aqua jousting
• Children’s splash pool & sandpit
