First birthday Bristol:
Planning your baby’s First Birthday Party?
Here are some party food ideas to help you plan your baby’s First birthday party.
It is here their first birthday party, this is a huge landmark in your baby’s life and yours too. Somehow you have gone from tiny babygrows to first words and its all been a bit of a blur if your honest but congratulations you have made it to ONE.
ONE whole year of loving this new little person. You will have been planning this milestone for a good few months now but its arrived so quick and now the thought of planning their first birthday party maybe overwhelming you, am I right?
Jigsaw Sandwiches: These are a great idea for a fun way to make a sandwich a little more exciting for a party. Why not buy a cheap jigsaw piece cutter and make little bitesize sandwiches, Id fill them with soft ingredients like spreadable cheese, ham or tuna. I suppose any cookie cutter would work great for this and you could even include a theme such as star shapes or crowns for a little princess.
If you don’t have the time I also found these from M&S Online
Or make striped finger sandwiches by using one slice of white and one slice of brown bread, fill, then cut off the crusts and cut into fingers.
Fresh Fruit:
Always will be a favourite for this age I am sure, berries, halved grapes and apple slices.
Things to dip:
Crackers, breadsticks, cucumber and carrot sticks have always gone done well at my children’s parties
Mini Sausage Rolls:
Mini Sausage Rolls are surely everyone’s party food favourite.
Crisps: I like to call them airy crisps, Wotsits, Skips and quavers to name a few.
Cheese straws:
Rice Krispy treats: You know the ones where you cover Rice Krispy’s in melted chocolate and it couldn’t be simpler.
Don’t forget the cake, Whether you choose to make your own or buy one from the supermarket your child wont remember but it will be the centrepiece of the party.
I hope this has given you a few ideas for your little ones first ever birthday party. Please remember at this age the party is more for the adults than it is for your little one and try not to get too stressed about giving your baby the perfect day too much as its very unlikely they will remember much of it anyway.
Is your child turning one soon, an alternative way to a party to celebrate is a Cake Smash and Splash photography session. If your interested in finding out more about these fun shoots please do email us at photographybyfiona@live.co.uk or visit this page for more information and full pricing.
